Recognize is a local computer vision engine. It analyzes, categorizes, and tags personal media libraries.

Most photo platforms process your files in the cloud. They build profiles of your faces, locations, and habits. Recognize keeps that processing entirely local.

Local Processing Pipeline

The project is designed to run on local hardware. It uses lightweight, open-source computer vision models.

It scans your local photo directories. It detects faces, objects, and text. Then it saves these tags directly to your local database.

Nothing is ever sent to an external server. Your photos stay private.

Features (Coming Soon)

  • On-Device Classification: Tag objects and locations without the cloud.
  • Privacy-First Search: Search your photo library semantically on your own hardware.
  • Zero-Cloud Sync: Share metadata across local devices without external databases.

This project is currently in active development.
